Mother NatureUpdated Monday October 15, 2018 by Liz Fleming.
Dear LYB Families and Friends,
Apparently Mother Nature doesn’t like baseball this year. Our complex sustained serious damage with last night’s (10.11.18) flash flooding. We are waiting to hear from the county about when the fields can be playable again. We were not the only fields impacted by the remnants of Hurricane Michael, so rescheduling our practices and games will need to wait for our sister organizations to assess the damage to their fields. We wanted you to know we are working on this and will let you know as soon as we know something.
In the meantime, we expect to go forward with our Brunswick Stew fundraiser next weekend with the pickup still at the field – time to be determined; however, is with much disappointment and many regrets that we announce our annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat will not be happening this year.
We will be extending a $10 credit on every registered player’s account to be used towards their Spring Registration fees. This credit can be used in conjunction with any other discounts or credits offered such as Early Bird and vouchers. We regret that we are unable to offer a cash credit due to the significant loss of concession revenue due to our inability to operate the Grand Slam Grill due to complex closings.
Thank you for your continued support of Lakeside Youth Baseball and for your patience as we work through rescheduling games and practices.
